After more than 26 years of keeping AAUW members up to date on policy matters, Action Alert will no longer be published. With the advent of AAUW’s website, as well as faster electronic modes of communication, Action Alert readership has waned in favor of Washington Update and other e-mail vehicles, including Action Network.

| July 18, 2008 - AAUW Rallies for Pay Equity
On July 17, AAUW joined coalition partners, members of Congress, and Lilly Ledbetter on Capitol Hill to rally for pay equity. The focus of the rally was two critical pieces of pay equity legislation: the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act (H.R.2831), which has already seen action in the House and Senate, and the Paycheck Fairness Act (H.R. 1338), which is expected to move in the House. | 2008 2007 | AAUW members interested in receiving Washington Update should e-mail VoterEd@aauw.org.
