ALUMNAE UPDATES
Whatever Happened To...?

Cynthia White, 2007-08 Community Action Grant recipient

Cynthia White, a 2007-08 Community Action Grant recipient, wants to change students' realities about their inabilities to do math. The goal of the Arhythmetic Jukebox project is to use hip-hop, R&B, and pop music to "meet the kids where they are." Cynthia hopes to take the sense of empowerment she felt when awarded the AAUW grant, and pass it on to students about their ability to do math. "Just as AAUW shifted my reality, I hope to shift their reality."

Introducing...

Since 1888, AAUW has awarded fellowships and grants to more than 10,000 women from around the world! To connect these alumnae, we are proud to announce the launch of AAUW Exchange, an online community for AAUW fellowship and grant alumnae to exchange ideas, stories, resources, professional development opportunities and more! This site is a closed community and only former AAUW fellows and grant recipients can become members. If you are an alumna, we invite you to join; the site is free, no commitment, and easy to use.

If you have any questions or comments about the site, feel free to e-mail us at fellowships@aauw.org.
