President

Presides at all meetings of AAUW.  Chairs meetings of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, and serve as an ex officio member of all committees except the Nominating and Audit Committees. Advises the Executive Director. Executes, with the Secretary of the corporation, all legal documents of AAUW. Appoints the chairs and members of such special committees as are approved by the Board of Directors. Calls special meetings as provided for in the Bylaws. Vice President

Assumes the duties of the Association president as needed and handles a variety of leadership responsibilities as designated by the president and board. Reports for the Executive Committee. Is responsible for the minutes of the Association. Serves as chair of the Convention Rules Committee and as secretary of the convention with responsibility for the business sessions. Finance Vice President

Through the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, oversees the collection of all dues and other monies of AAUW and make disbursements as directed by the AAUW Board of Directors. Serves as custodian of the title deeds, business papers, and the bonds and other securities belonging to the AAUW; with the approval of the Board of Directors. With approval of the Board of Directors, makes special arrangements with the recognized financial institution, or institutions, regarding investments in securities and their safekeeping. Director

Participates in the development of a long-range plan and in strategic planning. Develops strategies to communicate the direction of AAUW to the membership. Approves the annual budget and reviews the financial statements on a regular basis. Reviews and recommends the public policy program and priorities. Recommends Bylaws changes and resolution proposals. Participates in planning and carrying out the Annual Meeting and biennial Convention and in the meetings of the Board working groups. Secretary

Prepares the agenda for the AAUW Board of Directors and the Executive Committee meetings in consultation with the President and the Executive Director and with the assistance of staff and  the "Key Messages" of the AAUW Board meetings. Supervises the preparation of minutes of Executive Committee conference calls. Corrects the official minutes of the AAUW Board and Executive Committee meetings.
