Texas A&M University at College Station is seeking candidates for the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. The Dean is the chief academic and executive officer of the College and reports to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academics. One of the largest colleges in the University, the College of Liberal Arts consists of 12 departments, with 502 faculty (360 tenured/tenure-track, 142 lecturers) serving over 6,800 students (5,991 undergraduates, 356 master's and 467 doctoral students). The College offers degrees in 10 doctoral, 10 master's, and 24 undergraduate programs and has nine interdisciplinary programs. Almost all University undergraduate students take courses through the College of Liberal Arts. Texas A&M University is in the ninth year of a long-range planning process entitled Vision 2020 (http://www.tamu.edu/vision2020/) with the goal of becoming a consensus "Top 10" public university. To date, the university has raised over $1.5 billion through a development campaign and has hired faculty for 442 new faculty lines, 64 of whom are in the College of Liberal Arts. The new dean will provide leadership in the College's efforts to enhance excellence and assist in the University's pursuit of consensus top-ten status among public universities by the year 2020.
Qualifications include an earned doctorate or equivalent, an outstanding record in research and education commensurate with the appointment to the rank of professor with tenure in one of the departments of the College, and excellence in academic and administrative leadership at the college or department level or other relevant administrative position. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to diversity and internationalization, experience working on interdisciplinary initiatives, and success in fund raising from external resources. The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with administrators, faculty, staff, students, former students, and external constituencies.

The oldest of five regional campuses of Ohio University is located 45 miles south of Columbus. Historic Chillicothe, the first capital of Ohio, has a population of 22,000; the non-residential campus has an enrollment of 1900 and a small college atmosphere. The campus offers 13 associate's degrees, eight bachelor's degrees and three master's degrees with 35 full time faculty members supplemented by part-time instructors.
The director of student services is responsible for the day to day operations and long-term strategic planning of the Student Services Office. Key responsibilities will include development of marketing strategies and oversight of recruitment operations. Direction and leadership of new student orientation, admissions processing, academic advising, financial aid operations and scheduling and evaluating professional and classified staff are also critical responsibilities of this position.
A master's degree in an academic discipline is required. The director's position is a high ranking leadership position at the campus and needs the education, training and skills to stand in for the dean or associate dean and lead a team of professional employees. Five to ten years experience in higher education operations with a record demonstrated success is required for this position. Ten years experience and an earned doctorate degree are preferred.
Salary will range from $60,000 to $70,000 to commensurate with qualifications.

Children's Environmental Health Faculty Positions

The Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) doctoral program in the anticipated University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) School of Public Health is recruiting outstanding candidates for three open-rank positions (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels) in all areas of children's environmental health.' THE POSITION
The University of Mississippi (www.olemiss.edu) invites nominations and applications for the position of Provost/Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The Provost/VCAA reports to the Chancellor and acts on behalf of the Chancellor in his absence. This person is the chief academic officer of the University, working closely with the Chancellor to provide academic leadership on the Oxford campus. The Provost/VCAA will be responsible for budgetary oversight, planning, and policy development in the academic division. Duties of the position include coordination and supervision of the educational, research, and service programs of the University's College of Liberal Arts, Graduate School, and professional schools of Law, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Pharmacy, Accountancy and Applied Sciences, which are all on the main campus in Oxford, Mississippi. This tenure-track faculty position housed in the Department of Geosciences in the College of Arts and Sciences and it is funded through the Georgia State University’s Partnership for Urban Health Research which is one of several new multidisciplinary strategic areas of focus at GSU. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong research agenda, seek external funding to support the applicant’s research plans, and direct students in graduate and undergraduate research. Instructional responsibilities include teaching an undergraduate – graduate course in GIS, graduate course(es) in his/her specialty relating GIS to Urban Health research areas, and possibly multidisciplinary lower division instruction. A Ph.D. is required prior to the time of appointment.
